Sound in the Village

The sound in the village is from four small speakers embedded in buildings:
1. The chapel
2. The top station
3. The bottom station
4. The slate tour station.

(The slate incline sound is managed by the incline controller)

The image below on the left shows the circuit noard with four mp3 players. It is Arduino operated. The four small speakers were there for testing before the correct speakers were wired in the buildings.

The image on the right shows a setion of the computer interface that operates the sound. It allows a choice for each speaker. Since the village is staging a festival then these sounds reflect the special occasion. The stations are arranging train trasport for a visit to the slate mine and the Duchess of Atholl for tea. The slate mine station announcer is explaining about the tour and the Chapel is staging a concert by the Treorchy male voice choir.
