Pottery - the early years
Pieces from Tina’s Degree Show and the first pottery at World’s End, London
The degree show pieces were from 1966. At that time decorated ceramics were very new. Most mid-late 20th century hand made work was in the traditional style like the cooking ware shown below. Tina was influenced by the earlier work of William de Morgan and as well as french fabric designs.

Chess goblets for a restaurant centre piece. The ideas was to fill the goblets at the start of the evening. Customers waiting for their table would play a few moves. Drinking the wine of pieces they took in the game.
